Greater Manchester police are looking for a man who tried to commit a robbery armed with just a banana.
The criminal burst into the fish and chip shop one February night, pointing the 'gun' at staff and demanding they "open the f***ing till".
The weapon seems to be a piece of fruit wrapped in a plastic bag to make it look like a gun.
The CCTV footage of the Atherton crime has now been released by police on YouTube, and shows the heist falling apart just as quickly as it started.
The masked man fumbles to pull another weapon from his back pocket, but failing that, he took his bruised ego - and banana - and left empty-handed.
