Former Top Gear host Richard Hammond recently crashed his motorbike in Mozambique while on set for The Grand Tour television series.

Mr Hammond fell off his motorbike and hit his head, and his co-presenter Jeremy Clarkson said he was "hurt quite badly", the Daily Mail reports.

While there was serious concern on set due to Mr Hammond's previous crash that gave him brain injuries, it's understood he did not end up in hospital this time.

The Grand Tour, an Amazon series, is a motoring show that follows Mr Hammond and his co-hosts from Top Gear around the globe.

It comes 11 years after a 288mph (463km/h) dragster crash that he was lucky to survive, landing him five weeks in hospital after a wheel burst and caused the dragster to spin out of control.

It is believed the accident will feature on the show when the latest series goes to air later this year.
