Cat fished out of the Thames by nonchalant hero

An office cat's unexpected and unwanted dip into the ocean after being chased by away by a rival has been caught on video.

Footage of Felix's nonchalant rescue by a red-shirted man was released by his owners, the Royal Docks Management Authority (RoDMA) in London.

It shows Felix being chased and hit with a paw as she gets too close to the edge of the wharf, landing with a splash.

Moments later, the man runs into frame and puts a blue container down before climbing over the chain barrier between the sea and wharf. He lies down and reaches toward Felix, who's clinging on to part of the wharf.

The sodden cat is pulled up by the scruff of the neck, where the rescuer gives Felix a wave before they both go their separate ways - almost as if this has happened before.

The cat's embarrassing moment generated much laughter in the RoDMA office.

In a statement, RoDMA says Felix was uninjured after "bravely engaging in a hostile territorial battle (i.e. running away) from another cat".

"She also seems to be completely unaware that the rest of the RoDMA team have been laughing behind her back after the blasé 'nothing to see here' routine that followed her dunking."
