A 20-year-old US man has been charged with five counts of attempted murder and seven counts of assault with a firearm upon a peace officer after livestreaming himself shooting at police on April 9.
Sean Vasquez recorded the standoff live on Facebook during a three-hour standoff with Los Angeles County Sheriff deputies.
Authorities say they received reports of a man firing at passing cars. When officers responded, Vasquez filmed himself engaging in a violent confrontation with them.
Video shows him taking cover behind a vehicle before firing his gun at the deputies.
The deputies were not injured, and Vasquez eventually surrendered to a SWAT team.
He could face nearly 200 years to life in prison if convicted.
