Eyes - goats have two of them. Ears, too. But not this one.

A kid born in India on May 10 has only one eye and one ear. But what has local villagers excited is that its single eye is right in the middle of its face.

"I was shocked. It's like a miracle and people have been coming to our place to see this baby goat," owner Mukhari Das told media.

The cyclops goat, as it's been dubbed, has no eyelids or eyelashes, and no real nose. It's also missing some teeth, and has a smaller-than-usual upper jaw.

"It's my responsibility to take care of the baby goat. I have been feeding him like a normal goat. It might be something from God that the baby goat was born in our house," said Mr Das, who plans to make the most of it.

"So many people are coming to our place to see this baby goat. We are happy that it's making us famous."

Normally animals suffering from cyclopsia, which fuses together the two hemispheres of the brain, don't last long after birth.
