An innocuous photo opportunity with a rabbi and White House chief strategist Steve Bannon has revealed the President's policy to-do list.

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, who Newsweek once listed as one of the '50 most influential rabbis in America', tweeted two photos taken in Mr Bannon's office celebrating Israel Independence Day in Washington.

But it wasn't the smiling rabbi and the slightly smiling Bannon people were focusing on.

It was what was behind the pair which has caused the most chatter online - a whiteboard containing the to-do list of things President Donald Trump had promised during his campaign - repealing the Affordable Care Act, known as 'Obamacare', and his clampdown on immigration.

Nothing in the bullet-pointed list appears to be wildly surprising, but the gaffe will be embarrassing for Mr Trump's administration.

There are a number of "pledges" which have been ticked off including ending the 'catch and release' programme where illegal immigrants are caught and then freed ahead of hearings, hiring 5000 Border Patrol agents, suspending the Syrian refugee programme and suspending immigration from "terror-prone regions".

Notably, Mr Trump's flagship promise of a border wall "and eventually make Mexico pay for it" hasn't got a tick yet. The policy has hit a number of funding difficulties since Mr Trump took office just over 100 days ago.
