A 52-year-old woman has fought back against a man who tried to steal her bag at a Brisbane train station.
CCTV footage shows the man running up behind her and snatching her bag before trying to make a break for it.
But when the offender trips on the stairs the woman isn’t far behind, and lunges at him.
The man runs away, looking scared and empty handed.
The woman was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Queensland police say they believe the attack is linked to other car and handbag thefts in the area involving a group of men.
Investigations are continuing.
