Cuddly little spider moves into woman's ear

An adorable little spider has been ruthlessly evicted from an Indian woman's ear.

The woman, identified in local media as Lekshmi L, woke up after a nap with a bad headache, a sore right ear and a tingling sensation.

Her husband took her to Columbia Asia Hospital in Hebbal when the pain got worse.

While she was napping, doctors discovered an unexpected house guest had moved in - a little jumping spider.

They managed to lure it out by shining a light into her ear.

Lekshmi told local media she was pleased to have the spider gone.

"I couldn't think of anything and was petrified when the doctor confirmed presence of a spider in my ear."

It's not known if the spider lived after the procedure.
