Indian teen survives after thrown under train

CCTV footage has captured the moment a teenager was hit by a train in Mumbai, India, and survived.

Nineteen-year-old Pratiksha Natekar didn't notice the approaching freight train because she had her headphones on.

When she realised, she panicked and lost her bearings, running towards the train instead of away.

The train smashed into her and threw her underneath it, while terrified passengers on the platform could only look on in horror.

They managed to pull her from the tracks and incredibly, she suffered only minor head injuries.

Ms Natekar had been crossing the tracks to try and get to the platform on her way to work, she told local media.

She's now warned people not to wear headphones while boarding trains, and to use the foot overbridge to cross the tracks.
