Fear struck those attending a wedding in northwest Spain after a man tried to assault the priest as he yelled "Allah is great".
Video has emerged of the incident at the ceremony in the city of Valladolid on Saturday where the man can be seen at the altar yelling before a group of wedding-goers tackle him down the stairs.
The man managed to cause little damage and was chased in to a corner where he was held until police arrived.
According to the Daily Mail, the man was identified as a 22-year-old Moroccan student. He wasn't armed but had a history of public disorderly conduct.
The priest, who was officiating the ceremony at the time, said there was panic and fear among the wedding party when the man entered.
"A lot of people, including the bride's mother, were crying, and there were people who had already jumped out of the pews because we did not know whether this person came alone or not, or if he was armed," he told the Daily Mail.
The church was searched by police after the incident for any potential bombs or weapons but was swiftly given the all clear for the ceremony to continue.
