A teenager has died from a batch of "particularly strong" ecstasy tablets circulating in the UK.

Kyle Pringle, 18, passed away at St Helier Hospital after taking some of the blue and yellow pills, which are stamped with the IKEA logo.

Several more people have received medical treatment.

An official warning has even been issued by the States of Jersey Police, who say "anyone who feels unwell after taking these tablets should seek urgent medical attention."

"We strongly advise members of the public not to take these tablets in the interests of their health."

Three people have been arrested and a quantity of the branded tablets have been seized.
