A woman in her late 70s and her two daughters in their 50s have been found dead inside a Gold Coast apartment in what may have been a suicide pact.
According to local media reports, the trio were a 78-year-old woman and her two daughters, aged 54 and 53.
They were found dead in an apartment in Paradise Point at around 3:30pm (local time).
Police said the husband of one of the daughters had found the bodies after coming home from the shops.
"He's in a distraught state but in that, he is fully assisting us," Inspector Jim Plowman said.
"He's providing us with a lot of information including some of the phone text messages backwards and forwards between relevant parties."
Local media reports the women died in a suicide pact, but police have been unable to confirm that.
