A 13-year-old boy who received a new heart earlier this year died as he arrived for his first day back at school.
Peyton West, from Indiana, had his photo taken only 15 minutes before his death, standing at his front porch with his backpack on.
The teenager was born with a heart defect, and had a heart transplant in March. It was meant to be his first day back at school since his recovery, but he collapsed as he got out of the car.
His father, Corey West, told local media there were no signs that he was rejecting his new organ.
"He went to bed, no problems. He woke up, no problems being his goofy self."
An autopsy will be performed to figure out what went wrong.
