A high-profile Australian television reporter has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges.

A Current Affair reporter Ben McCormack, 43, was arrested in April after his home was raided and a computer seized during a second raid on Nine Network's Sydney headquarters.

The journalist had also directed a short film about incest in 2001, called Family Outing, about a young man's visit to a gay bathhouse who is then pleasured by an older man who turns out to be his father.

Nine Network says none of the offences happened at work, and all relate to McCormack's personal life. He was suspended after his arrest.

McCormack has pleaded guilty to two child porn offences, and will next appear in court on October 6.
