An off-duty Brazilian policeman has shot and killed two armed men while shopping at a pharmacy with his family in São Paulo - all while holding his baby.
CCTV footage shows Sergeant Rafael Souza firing his gun at one of the suspects with the baby tucked under his arm, before running out of frame. His wife can be seen hiding in another aisle with her hands covering her ears.

While out of sight of the CCTV camera, he reportedly shot the other assailant - and despite urgent medical attention from paramedics, they were both declared dead at the scene.
Sgt Souza said he shot at the men because they were wielding guns, and he was afraid he and his family would be shot at if he didn't open fire first.
An investigation into the men's deaths is underway.
