A Canadian mother has won social fame for her unique response to her child's wall drawing.

Dr Eric Massicotte returned home to find his wife had framed and labelled their child's wall scribble like a gallery piece.

He posted photos to Twitter, "Your kids are going to do things they shouldn't. It helps if you married someone with a sense of humour."

The thread has been liked more than 80,000 times and re-tweeted over 30,000 times.

Twitter users were quick to share their own stories of errant children, from head-sized holes in walls to constantly disappearing cutlery.

One user cheekily replied, "Your property value probably doubled considering that it is now both a residential dwelling *and* an art gallery. Hopefully you don't need to apply for any permits!"

No word as yet if this art piece will become a series.
