Australian Health Minister Greg Hunt has denied any involvement after his official Twitter account 'liked' a pornographic post.
At approximately 5am on Sunday (local time) Mr Hunt's account 'liked' a sexually explicit tweet from user 'BBW Cum Plumber 69'.
"Someone tried to hack my social media yesterday. Maybe they are making mischief over the plebiscite," Mr Pyne said in a statement on Monday, Yahoo reports.
Mr Hunt said his account was hacked when it 'liked' the offending tweet, calling for an Australian Federal Police investigation.
While the 'like' has since been deleted, Mr Hunt's 41,000 followers were quick to notice the interaction, sharing it on social media.
This is the second time in as many months an Australian Minister has allegedly engaged with pornography online, with Defence Industry Minister Christopher Pyne left red-faced after his account 'liked' explicit gay porn on Twitter in November.
