A deep-sea diver has shared a petrifying close encounter with a humongous great white shark - and it's all been caught on camera.
In the clip, which shows a diver swimming on the surface of the ocean, he takes a few strokes forward, before turning to look at his son, who was filming.

However, it's terrible timing as, just at the moment he averts his gaze, a shark measuring at least three metres long swims right at him from behind.
The diver is quickly warned of the beast's presence and just as he turns around again, the shark angles upward and away from him, grazing his head with its fin on the way past.
It's not clear where the footage was filmed, but it was published on a South African spearfishing Facebook page.
The video has proven hugely popular, earning close to 2 million views in less than 24 hours.
