Maserati no match for Melbourne storm

Maserati's logo is based on a trident belonging to the Roman god of the sea, Neptune.

But it didn't save one owner's luxury ride from being ruined in the storm currently pelting Melbourne.

The car was spotted underwater beneath a railway overpass at Middle Footscray station around 5pm on Saturday, local media reports.

The underpass is notorious for flooding every time it rains heavily. Up to 300mm is expected to deluge Melbourne over the weekend.
