A domestic United States flight was forced to turn around on Saturday (local time) after a bird was found inside the plane.
Not long after taking off from Detroit, Michigan for Atlanta, Georgia, Delta pilots noticed the hummingbird inside the cockpit.
The bird was so small that staff couldn't locate it after more than an hour, and the captain decided to turn back.
Authorities concluded the hummingbird had flown inside during boarding.
The plane returned to Detroit and the bird was set free, and all human passengers eventually made it to Atlanta.
