Four New Zealanders have been involved in an hot air balloon crash in Egypt, which killed a South African tourist on Friday (local time).
Twelve people were injured and one killed on board the balloon, which crash-landed after being forced off-course by strong winds.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed to Newshub four Kiwis were involved, but says none are seriously injured.
"The New Zealand embassy in Cairo is providing consular assistance to four New Zealanders affected."
Local media reports the balloon, carrying 20 people, took off at sunrise before crashing into Egypt's ancient city of Luxor 45 minutes later. The pilot was among the dozen injured.
