Royal-to-be Meghan Markle has deleted all of her social media accounts as her wedding to Prince Harry approaches.

The US actress had 3 million followers on Instagram, 475,000 on Twitter and a private Facebook account.

But all of the accounts disappeared on Tuesday, and in future her only activity on social media will be through the official Kensington Palace social media accounts.

No other members of the British Royal Family, including Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, have social media accounts.

Ms Markle and Prince Harry are getting married in May at Windsor Castle.
