A vicar from the Church of England has been filmed allegedly smoking crack and snorting cocaine at his church-owned home.

The footage also appears to show 64-year-old Rev Stennett Kirby watching porn, discussing escorts, and talking about visiting Soho to buy liquid chemical 'poppers', a legal high.

In the video his friend asks whether Mr Kirby is happy.

"I'm a very happy man," he replies, "I love it.

Sitting on the couch with a friend, Mr Kirby can be seen watching porn.

"It f***ing turns me on when I have this and I watch that."

"I wish I could. If I had money, I would [hire escorts]. I've only got £10 left."

The vicar then reveals he is planning a trip to central London to "go to shops and get some poppers."

Rev Kirby's house costs £1.5 million (NZD$2.8 million) and is owned by the Diocese of Chelmsford.

The Church of England is investigating the incident.
