A Florida child has been rescued from a claw machine after he crawled inside to fetch a toy.

The Titusville Fire and Emergency Services posted images of the rescue on Facebook, saying it certainly wasn't something they attended every day.

According to emergency services, young Mason had been out to dinner with his family when he crawled in through the toy exit hatch on the machine.

He wasn't in any distress while he was trapped as thankfully an off duty member of staff was at the restaurant.

Several firefighters soon arrived at the scene and were able to quickly remove Mason.

Several commenters on Facebook commended the firefighters for their quick response and Mason for his abilty to scramble into the machine so quickly.

"Kid might have a prosperous future as a contortionist or an escape artist," one commenter wrote.

"I could completely see my youngest doing this same thing. Kids are so fast and unpredictable," another said.

It seems the whole experience wasn't too much excitement for Mason though as he returned to dinner with his family shortly after rescue.

And yes, he did get to keep the toy he was so desperate for.
