Major 7.5 quake strikes Papua New Guinea

An earthquake of magnitude 7.5 has struck Papua New Guinea, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The quake had a depth of 35 kilometres, according to the USGS, following Monday's quake.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning says the earthquake is not expected to generate a tsunami.
