A 12-month-old girl has died after being attacked by a rottweiler in northern NSW.
Emergency services were called to a home in Greaves Street, Inverell around 2:20pm on Saturday and found her with critical injuries.
Police say she was treated at the scene but died on the way to hospital.
The family's rottweiler dog was found in the backyard of the home, and has been seized by council rangers.
An investigation is now underway by police, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
