A Sydney passenger has shared a video of the frightening moment her train drove through a sprawling bushfire.
The train can be seen entering a thick cloud of smoke before passing numerous flaming trees.
The fast-moving fire begun at around 2:45pm on Saturday afternoon, and the T8 Airport line train drove through the flames at Casula shortly after.
Footage shows a number of spot fires near the railway tracks, prompting commuters to question why the train was still running.
On Sunday, more than 500 firefighters are still battling the 1000-hectare-wide Holsworthy blaze.
Some Sydney train lines have been closed due to the fire, with buses replacing regular services.
