Toronto police are looking for a woman who allegedly stole a rock worth NZ$18,000 from a museum on Friday (local time).

"Female sought in Theft Over $5000 investigation. Mon. Mar. 12, at 5:35 p.m., at the Gardiner Museum located at 111 Queen's Park. She allegedly stole a rock on display of an art exhibit. Last seen walking south on Queen's Park," Toronto police tweeted.

The words "Love Yourself" were written in marker on the rock by Yoko Ono, experimental artist and widow of Beatles singer John Lennon.

The inscription was written as part of a Yoko Ono exhibit at Gardiner Museum.

The whereabouts of the thief is not yet known.
