A young boy's selfless gesture has gone viral on social media after he was filmed helping an elderly lady with a walking frame climb steps.
Maurice Adams Jr, 8, from Milledgeville, Georgia, was in a car with his mother and sister when he spotted an elderly woman struggling to get up steps by the side of the road, 9 News reported.
His mother Contricia Hill told Atlanta news company WSB-TV her son asked if he could "go out there and help her up the steps".

With her permission, the boy jumped out of the car and proceeded to help the woman.
He was filmed by a bystander who posted the footage to social media.
"Thank God for our youth," says the caption of the video on Facebook published by Riley Duncan.
"Such a sweet young man. Someone has taught him well. We need more like him," one person commented on the video, which has racked up over 2000 likes and 14,000 shares.
"A little gentleman in the making," another person wrote.
The elderly woman told the boy he's "special", his mother said to WSB-TV.
It's understood the boy had no idea he was being filmed by the bystander.
