Builders in the UK have skirted around a new health and safety code which stipulates they can't wear shorts by wearing skirts and dresses to work.

In order to keep cool, a group of brickies from Chertsey, Surrey, got around a workplace shorts ban by wearing women's clothes - thanks to gender equality regulations in the UK.

The group of workers say they were inspired by a group of school boys who recently did the same thing when they were told they couldn't wear shorts.

One of the builders told the Daily Mail he loved the new outfit and that it gave him far more freedom.

Summer has really kicked in in the UK with temperatures reaching highs of 26 degrees.
