Children's savage obituary for mother that abandoned them

Two American siblings have finally settled a decades-long grudge with their mother by writing an extremely harsh obituary in her memory.

The obituary posted in the Redwood Falls Gazette begins as many others do, describing Kathleen Dehmlow's early life and marriage - but quickly goes off the rails.

It seems after marrying Dennis Dehmlow and having children Gina and Jay, Ms Dehmlow moved onto her husband's brother and ran away to California, abandoning her family.

Even though she passed away on May 31, it seems Gina and Jay aren't yet over the separation - and made their feelings clear in the obituary.

"In 1962 she became pregnant by her husband's brother Lyle Dehmlow and moved to California," the obituary says.

"She abandoned her children, Gina and Jay who were then raised by her parents in Clements, Mr and Mrs Joseph Schunk.

"She passed away on May 31, 2018 in Springfield and will now face judgement. She will not be missed by Gina and Jay, and they understand that this world is a better place without her."

Social media users were quick to notice the unusual obituary, and it soon went viral on Twitter. One tweet featuring the death notice received over 20,000 likes and more than 7000 retweets.
