French President Emmanuel Macron and US President Donald Trump were back at their handshaking antics again - but this time the Frenchman appeared to come out on top.

The handshake didn't hold for the same period of time as their infamous 30-second one last year, but it did leave a lasting impression on a somewhat pained looking Mr Trump.

Photos of the shake show that Mr Macron had a tight hold on Mr Trump, leaving him with a thumb-shaped imprint on his hand.

After the handshake, Mr  Macron looks visibly smug, while Mr Trump seems a little riled.

President Macron then goes in for another handshake after their meeting, and continues to have a grip on President Trump even after letting go.

The pair is among a number of other world leaders at the G7 Summit in La Malbaie, Canada.
