Three Las Vegas teenagers have been arrested after a 17-year-old was killed in a deadly game of Russian roulette.

Matthew Minkler reportedly died in the kitchen of an abandoned house after another teenager shot him in an altered version of the chance game.

Instead of pointing the gun at their own heads, as the traditional game mandates, the teenagers had all been pointing the gun at the victim's head and taking turns pulling the trigger.

After Matthew died, his body was shoved in a closet and an expletive reference to him was spray-painted on the closet door. Nobody called 911.

Police are asking one of the teenagers be tried as an adult for charges including destruction of evidence and accessory to murder.

The two other teenagers, aged 16 and 17, appeared before a judge as adults on Thursday.

According to court documents, police have video of Matthew's body in the kitchen just hours before he was found in the closet.

A candlelight vigil is set to take place on Saturday night (local time) before a preliminary hearing on Monday, July 2.
