Letting your partner drink and bid at a charity auction can be a risky business because you never quite know what they'll come home with.
This week the wife of a Scottish man got quite a shock when her husband returned home with a giant picture of something that was a little too familiar.
While enjoying a few drinks, Mr Splicer splashed out on a gigantic photo of Scotland's Forth Bridge during a charity auction.
But the irony is his home already has a view of the bridge from his living room.
Mr Splicer told Scottish tabloid the Scottish Sun he genuinely thought his wife would be okay with him bringing it home.
The fog was so thick last month you couldn't even see the bridge, he said, "so at least with that photo we would always see it".
