The lawyer for the porn star who claims she had an affair with Donald Trump wants evidence the US President's lawyer watches adult movies.

Rudy Giuliani, who has been acting as Mr Trump's lawyer for about seven weeks, has dismissed Stormy Daniels' claims, saying he has no respect for her because she "sells her body for sexual exploitation".

"Stormy the porn star - you know, every porn person can't be a star," Mr Giuliani said last week. "I never heard of her before."

Mr Giuliani then clarified he "doesn't really look at porn".

Ms Daniels' lawyer, Michael Avenatti, believes Mr Giuliani is a hypocrite, and is now looking for proof.

"I'd like to know the last time Mr Giuliani viewed pornography," he told MSNBC on Saturday. "Something tells me it wasn't years or decades ago."

Mr Avenatti says if anyone can provide him evidence Mr Giuliani watches adult films, he'll protect their identity and publish it.

"I want to test Mr Giuliani's claims of being adamantly against pornography and having no use for adult film stars," he tweeted.

"If anyone can provide me with any evidence of him voluntarily viewing pornography, I will protect you as a source and publish it. Let's PROVE the hypocrisy."

Social media star Chrissy Teigen told him it was going to be tough finding someone willing to admit watching porn with Mr Giuliani.

"This may be a tough ask but there may be other evidence available," Mr Avenatti replied.

Ms Daniels was paid US$130,000 to sign a confidentiality agreement with Mr Trump before the 2016 election barring her from speaking about their alleged affair, but Mr Trump has since denied it even happened.
