All around the world, the media has reacted to the birth of Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern's baby.

Despite London being 13 hours behind New Zealand's time zone, the BBC was among the first international outlets to share the news as it broke first thing in the morning there.

They tweeted the announcement with a breaking news banner, as did the Associated Press.

CNN, Sky News, and The New York Times all reported on the birth.

Closer to home, Australia's Yahoo 7 News and The Today Show sent their best wishes to the couple.

"Congratulations to New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern who has given birth to a healthy baby girl! We wish you and your partner all the best," The Today Show tweeted.

With much of the world still asleep, there promises to be much more coverage in the hours to come.
