A GoFundMe campaign set up to raise money to pay for the funerals of a Kiwi woman and two children who were allegedly killed by a family member in Perth on Sunday.

Michelle Petersen and her eight-year-old son Rua were found dead in their family home in the suburb of Ellenbrook on Sunday morning. Her 15-year-old daughter Bella was found outside critically injured, and died on the way to hospital.

Teancum Vernon Petersen-Crofts, 19, has been charged with all three murders, and is understood to be the son of Michelle and the brother of the other two victims.

The crime has been described as "horrific".

Almost $27,000 has been raised so far, exceeding the $20,000 target set by the fundraisers, and more than 600 people have made donations.

The GoFundMe account was set up by a friend of Michelle's, who said she was "kind, happy, loved her kids, all of them unconditionally".

"At times in her life she was rough, she was flawed, but we all are, no one is perfect and Shell tried. She was always good to me, always supported me, always made me feel like a better person."

Petersen-Crofts appeared in court on Monday and has been remanded to a psychiatric facility at Graylands Hospital.

He is due to reappear at Stirling Gardens Magistrates Court next week.
