The owner of the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas has filed a lawsuit against more than 1,000 victims of a mass shooting that killed 58 people there last year.
The lawsuit is not seeking money and asks federal courts to declare that it is not liable in the shooting.
In October 2017, Stephen Paddock opened fire on a concert from the window of his hotel at the Mandalay Bay, killing 58 people and injuring hundreds more before killing himself.
Many of the victims of the mass shooting have filed lawsuits.
Now, MGM Resorts International, which owns the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas has filed a lawsuit to free themselves of any liability for deaths, injuries or damages caused in the shooting.
"No MGM Party attempted to commit, knowingly participated in, aided, abetted, committed, or participated in any conspiracy to commit any act of terrorism," the lawsuit states.
