A Mexican cowboy has earned praise after he tackled a would-be robber during a hold-up at a Mexican convenience store.
CCTV footage shows the robber walked into the store and pulled a gun on the cowboy and the cashier, with the cowboy barely reacting aside from taking off his sunglasses.
But the robber made a big mistake in turning his back to the pair.
The unnamed cowboy quickly leapt on the man and wrestled the gun out of his hands, before scuffling around the store.
They moved out of range of the camera for a short time, and a worker from the store appeared and picked up the gun from where the robber had left it on the ground.
A few seconds later the robber appeared again, sprinting away before brandishing a large knife. He was quickly taken down by the cowboy and a shop worker.
Commenters on the social media site Reddit have praised the cowboy for his actions, calling his calm demeanour throughout the ordeal amazing.
"When you threaten an old man, and he takes his glasses off, you might want to reevaluate your life choices," one commenter said.
"He didn't even lose his hat - not his first rodeo," another wrote.
