Omarosa claims Trump will deport Melania if she divorces him

Days after releasing tapes of Donald Trump offering her hush money, Omarosa Manigault-Newman has made another shocking claim - that the US President would deport the First Lady if she divorces him.

In her tell-all memoir detailing her time in the White House, Ms Manigault-Newman, a former aide to the President, said she believes Mr Trump would deport wife Melania if she causes him the "ultimate embarrassment".

According to Ms Manigault-Newman, that would be divorce while he was still in office - and a "vindictive" President Trump would find any way he could to punish Melania, she says.

The First Lady was born in Slovenia, but reportedly received a green card through a programme for people with "extraordinary abilities".

The Hill reports that Ms Manigault-Newman implies the President thinks his wife allegedly lied in obtaining her green card -something he would expose if she leaves him before his term finishes.

Naturalised citizens may be deported if it is revealed they falsified relevant facts.

The White House responded to similar claims earlier this week from Ms Manigault-Newman calling them "disappointing" and that she was looking to continue to benefit off the opportunities she was provided by the President.

Other claims she has made include that she was offered US$15,000 to work on the President's campaign after being fired by Chief of Staff John Kelly, as well as that the President using the "N-word".

Mr Trump tweeted on Tuesday (NZ time) that Ms Manigault-Newman was a "crazed, crying lowlife" and a "dog".

This isn't the first time she has been fired by Mr Trump. Before becoming an aide, she appeared on Trump's The Apprentice, Celebrity Apprentice, and All-Star Celebrity Apprentice.

She was 'fired' every time, and courted attention for her arguments with Piers Morgan.
