A woman has been caught making a baby pose for a photo in the middle of a freight train line in Fremantle in Western Australia.

The photo -  posted on Twitter by blogger The Bell Tower Times - has shocked people across the world.

Communications Manager of The Transport Authority David Hynes condemned the act, telling Perth Now it was "galactically stupid".

"Being on the tracks or within the rail reserve, without a permit and other than for traversing a pedestrian crossing, is classified as trespassing." He told Perth Now.

The spot where the Fremantle and Midland lines cross is a popular spot for photos, so much so that the Transport Authority has put signs up, telling people to not pose there and reminding them it's illegal.
