Two elderly men escape rest home, attend world's biggest metal festival

Two elderly men have been found after escaping their rest home to attend the world's biggest music festival.

The pensioners were located at 3am in the middle of the crowd at Wacken Open Air music festival in Germany.

Worried staff from their nursing home had reported the pair missing.

Local police told Metro UK the men were "disoriented and apathetic", and reluctant to go back to the rest home.

They were sent home in a taxi, escorted by police.

The festival took place from 1st to 4th of August, with a sell-out crowd of 75,000 people.
