Armed with an American flag and head-banging to heavy metal music, a shirtless man in Florida has dismissed warnings not to confront the wrath of Hurricane Florence.
Lane Pittman was filmed on a street at Myrtle Beach, Florida on Friday morning (local time) staring down 135km/h winds and pelting rain from Hurricane Florence.

"Just being free and American - I don't let nothing oppress me, especially no dang, freaking hurricane," he told Fox News.
Crazy weather-related stunts aren't new to Mr Pittman who went viral in 2016 after a video caught him confronting Hurricane Matthew. The post received 27 million views on Facebook.
He also courted attention in 2015 after Neptune Police cited him for breaching the peace when he played a guitar rendition of the US national anthem and a verse of Ted Nugent's 'Stranglehold' during a July 4 celebration.
