A suicide bomber has blown himself up in the Afghan capital, killing at least 15 people as voting concluded.

Polling stations in Kabul were kept open longer than normal to cope with large numbers of people.

Ten civilians and five police officers died, and another 25 were injured.

Taliban militants have issued statements telling people not to take part in, what they consider, a foreign process.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
