Indonesian disaster spokesman tweets out images and video of plane crash

Authorities are scrambling to work out why a newly purchased Boeing 737 passenger plane crashed off Indonesia's coast yesterday.

The Lion Air plane was carrying 189 people when it plummeted 3000 feet shortly after taking off from Jakarta.

No survivors have been found.

Was it a bomb? Pilot error, or something else?

Meanwhile Indonesia's disaster agency spokesman has been tweeting out photos and videos of the recovery effort, including shots of the debris and oil slick left on the water's surface.

Social media presenter Aziz Al-Sa'afin spoke to Duncan Garner.
