A six-year-old Texan girl allegedly strangled her younger brother to death when they were left in the car.
Adrian Middleton,26, left his daughter and one-year-old son in the car while he shopped in a store for over an hour on May 20, KHOU11 reports.
Mr Middleton returned to the car, to find his daughter crying and saying she had done "something bad".
His son was unconscious with his seatbelt wrapped around him. Mr Middleton performed CPR on his son while he waited for emergency services to arrive.
The girl told police she was angry because her brother started crying after she was playing with him, so she wrapped him in the seatbelt.
She believed her brother was simply asleep, ABC13 reports.
An autopsy ruled the boy died of homicide via strangulation. The father has been charged with abandoning the child.
