Luke Buda from The Phoenix Foundation and Hunt for the Wilderpeople fame, and Don McGlashan from The Muttonbirds have released a protest song, Children Don't Belong in Jail, to highlight the plight of the refugee children remaining on Nauru.
It coincides with Universal Children's Day, which was World Vision's deadline to get all detained children off the Island.
World Vision campaigned Pacific Leaders, including New Zealand and Australia to get all the #KidsOffNauru and bring them to safety in New Zealand.
The agreement between Australia and the United States exists to resettle refugees, but most of the 119 children and their families who remain on Nauru have no hope for being included in the deal.
World Vision says these children and their families urgently need to be moved off, so they can start new lives in safety and with dignity.
