Police are accusing an Indiana woman of throwing bras and panties out of a car during a chase of up to 160km/h.
The high-speed pursuit began after 34-year-old Holly Sansone was approached by officers for suspected shoplifting at a Kohl's store carpark on Wednesday (local time), the Northwest Indiana Times reports.

But instead of stopping, police say she shrugged, said "I've gotta go" and then fled the scene, throwing underwear out the window as she sped off.
Cop cars followed the trail of lingerie during the chase as she allegedly reached speeds of nearly 160km/h, running red lights and nearly striking other vehicles. Sansone was only stopped after her car tires were shredded by police spikes.
Police found multiple pairs of panties and bras inside the vehicle, and recovered several others from the side of the road, the Times reports.
They also found Sansone was wearing two pairs of underwear, which still had the price tags attached.
Altogether 14 pairs of panties and four bras are alleged to have been stolen. Two candles and some air freshener refills were also seized worth about US$445 (NZD$652).
Sansone was arrested on charges of resisting law enforcement, theft and reckless driving.
