A 13-year-old girl secretly recorded video of her father coaching her to lie about having been physically assaulted by him, according to AP.
She slipped the recording to prosecutors on the eve of his trial in Pennsylvania.
The footage shows Deyon Taylor, 56, instructing his daughter to deny that he choked her, and to tell the judge he was being stern with her, a police affidavit says.
In one of the recordings, as the girl rode with her father to the courthouse, Taylor allegedly went over the questions his daughter would be asked in court, and gave her responses.
"Did he choke me? No. Did he hurt me? No. Was he being stern with me? Yes," Taylor allegedly says on the video, according to court documents.
Taylor now faces additional charges of witness intimidation and hindering prosecution, and a judge revoked his bail.
The district attorney's office said the teen and her mother, who had also been allegedly abused by Taylor, are now in a "confidential and secured placement".
