69yo wife allegedly kills husband for adding porn to satellite television subscription

A US woman "flew into a rage" and allegedly killed her husband after he added a porn channel to their satellite television subscription, jurors have heard.

Arkansas woman Patricia Ann Hill, 69, is standing trial charged with shooting her partner Frank Hill, 65, last year. She's pleaded not guilty to murder.

Prosecutors say the dispute began when Patricia discovered Frank had added a pornographic channel to their satellite television subscription.

When Patricia saw this on the bill, she cancelled the channel. But when the next bill arrived showing the channel had been re-added, she "flew into a rage".

She stormed to the shed her husband used as a man cave, armed with a pistol, and shot him twice before calling emergency services. Frank was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators found a pistol and an open Dish Network bill inside the house.

Attorney Bill James, who is representing Patricia, told the court that Frank's porn usage was a "personal affront to her and to her god".

"She told him over and over again to stop, and he said he would but went right back to doing it," he explained.
